Hi, I’m a squirrel!

I am really busy right now. I take these pictures on my walk from soda to home or vice versa. I got my 18-200mm nikkor. I have another picture of this dude coming up and trying to grab the lens. Seriously, animals love me. I am one with nature.
I finally landed a sumer internship. I’ll be working at the company that is trying to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. I was originally going to MSR but I had issues with residency.
Right now I plan on spending my break learning a whole bunch of things related to my current research that I currently don’t understand very well. Which means I’ll be staying in the Bay for spring break, much to the chagrin of my parents. As it turns out, I probably should have taken a compilers course as an undergrad. Oh well, I’ve been reading the dragon book and playing with all kinds of static and dynamic analysis stuff, as well as reading a ton of papers. Even though I feel a little behind, it feels great to have focus.
Otherwise it’s just been the usual, climbing, coding, going out, rinse repeat (sometimes without rinsing, eww).

Congrats to you too on your internship! Good choice over Microsoft. A good friend of mine who is graduating from Carnegie Mellon this spring with a degree in CS just got a job at Google starting in September at some ridiculously high salary, and he proceeded to make me and all our friends extremely jealous.
Also, your photography looks good. It makes me want a D40 pretty badly; I feel like I might need to join the digital revolution and upgrade from my Minolta Maxxum STsi with 28-80mm and 100-300mm lenses. Me want new toys.

Thanks duder, on all comments. I’ve worked for MS before and it was semienjoyable but I think this worked out for the best. I am very happy I get to stay in the bay (and not pay for two apartments).
Also, I did not know you had a blog, you sir have been added to the blogroll.
