Post categories are *so* last summer.

You’ll now find a tag cloud to the right of this page where you can examine more meta content. I have a feeling that pretty soon I’ll get tired of typing posts and convey my thoughts and ideas through several layers of meta data without ever needing form sentences. Hello web 3.0. Also, unless you’re using a text to speech engine then you’ve noticed that I updated the layout as well. Three column layouts are all the rage.

Had an awesome weekend with Mike, John, Kevin and Cheney. Checked out mission bicycles, met some awesome people, went to an awesome SOMA club, woke up after a long night and worked on some research. Overall, I rate the weekend stellar to very stellar.

Finally got my skateboard that I ordered from eBay and now I’m looking for some parts for my fixie. Since my San Jose is a forest green color, I thought that yellow accents would complement it nicely. I think I am going to swap the black tape for yellow, switch out my cyclocross tires for road bike tires (with yellow stripes), and swap the cheap pedals for metal yellow pedals (if I can find them). Lemon lime will look pretty awesome. PS. It will match my new messenger bag really nicely.

As always, I’ve been doing a ton of climbing. I think I’ve reached a plateau with top roping. At one point I did a 5.12a but I seem to have regressed to some degree. I can only consistently do 5.11abc. Bouldering, on the other hand, has improved quite a bit. I’ve recently completed a lot of overhung v3+ to v4+ problems. I am going to Bishop or Red Rocks this weekend and I am totally stoked.

Poster session tomorrow for our research project. I’ll get the poster and paper online when we put the finishing touches on them. The good news is that our idea worked fairly well and minimal bug fixing was necessary when we integrated our code.

Regina Spektor is most excellent, I’ve been listening to her non-stop, well lately le tigre, regina spektor and phish, but all of it in a non-stop fashion. I’m a sucker for artsy women with beautiful voices who can make literary allusions. On another note, I’m also a sucker for women who can do baysian statistics and combinatorics problems. I fear the intersection of those two groups is ridiculously small*.

It’s kind of like this:

hi, i was wondering if i can have all your homework/notes/old exams from undergrad. I don’t feel like learning the stuff myself and would rather just steal and copy your work…thanks

You have no idea how many emails and posts I get with people asking for my projects’ source code. It makes me wonder what percentage of engineers obtained their degree by copying code from the internet.

  5. Parisa Says:

    Does that mean no?
