A few weeks in review.

Hi. This will be another one of those posts where I pretty much detail everything I’ve been doing in the past few weeks and you will pretend to be interested. Okay?

I started work at icir and I could not be more pleased with the job. The environment is very relaxed and I feel very little pressure regarding time constraints like I did at the evil empire. Right now I am working on implementing some really cool things for the honeynet project that may or may not involve writing rootkit like devices. I cannot elaborate much more on the project but as far a summer jobs go, I think I have found my niche.

I’ve been incredibly bored after work and one of my coworkers Jacob pegged me for being into the indie music scene. He then asked me to go with him to the semi-famous venue Blake’s and I of course agreed. The night was awesome and I got to see a ton of excellent bands play. In fact if you haven’t already clicked the link above, check out Jacob’s music, he is very, very talented.

Mike and I wasted last Saturday sitting at Border’s Bookstore. He was ranting about some firefox stuff that he had to implement and I wanted to check out a book on Ajax. I held back my impulse to buy the book knowing that I could get it on Amazon for about $20 cheaper. However, Mike was insistent that he needed the Firefox Developer’s book today otherwise he would not be able to complete his project. Later that evening, he sent me an instant message saying he had solved his problem and didn’t open his book once. Apparently he just likes setting his money on fire or something…

Speaking of money, I am poor and I hope work pays me soon. My bills are piling up. Too bad I bought some new jellie bracelets and a few shirts. Whatever, my credit card is free money right?

I’ve become a bit more adventurous in my cooking. Probably because I lived with Chris and he is such a good cook. Anyhow, I’ve made quite a few things from scratch since I arrived in Berkeley, but the most recent was this pizza . I cheated a bit and I bought a pre-made wheat crust, but otherwise it had red peppers, onions, fresh garlic, and a sprinkling of cheddar cheese. OMG delicious.

Last weekend I got a chance to go climbing with Parisa. It was my first time climbing since Chris decided to faint because my climbing skills were so incredible. I was nervous because I had to pass a test regarding climbing rules etc., and as I said it had been quite a while since I had attempted. It worked out quite well and we had an awesome time. We finished the day bouldering and then met up with Mike to grab some food and watch Pan’s Labyrinth. Today I am going climbing again with Parisa and Jacob. Should be a pretty awesome day.

Please support Caturday and Image macros. Without your support, I won’t spend countless hours laughing at pages like this.

Yeah yeah, so I went back to linking like crazy. So what. I leave you these few choice videos. You really should watch them. I mean, I am not posting them on my blog because I think it will be a waste of time for you to watch them. But you know what YOU probably won’t even open them. Two choice videos, both short. Less Than Three (hilarious internet song), The Message (inspirational video, VERY inspirational).
